RED BULL IS FOR WIMPS

Thanks to a new drink, partygoers can say goodbye to those embarrassing trails of white powder around their nostrils or those (un)expected nosebleeds. There is a new “cocaine” on the streets, and it’s actually quite legal. It’s an energy drink that contains teeth chattering amounts of caffeine as well as a “throat-numbing” ingredient. These are no candy cigarettes, but “Cocaine” is an allegedly harmless product that capitalizes on the cool-factor of illicit narcotics. The beverage also happens to be the latest cocktail chaser among young adults in New York City as well as California and Australia. It’s yet to be served up at bars, but you won’t have to buy it covertly from some dealer either. “Cocaine” is now on sale at several NY venues, including two Broadway locations—The West Side Gourmet and Hello Deli. According to Redux Beverages, the makers of “Cocaine,” this cherry flavored drink may have some side effects not suitable for children or pregnant women, namely unnatural amounts of energy lasting up to four hours. Leave it to Las Vegas, where the company is based, to come up with a beverage that is 350 percent stronger than the “Red Bull” energy drink. Well, if “Red Bull” gives you wings, we don’t want to know what this stuff will give you.
