Taxi cabs took a step closer to becoming “Pimp My Ride” worthy when some were outfitted with touch screens on Monday. The touch screens will allow riders to pick music, to see where they are located in the city, to find out if their flights are delayed and to locate nearby restaurants. These will certainly up the cool factor of cabs, but until they’ve got more “X-to-the-Z,” Xzibit flavor—Jacuzzis in the trunk, a mini bar in the door and flat screen TVs for each rider’s viewing pleasure—riders are still welcome to grumble about the recent fare hike.
