Last February, Grammy-award winning pop icon and the man single-handedly responsible for bringing “sexy” back waded into the waters of Manhattan’s restaurant industry with Destino’s on the UES. Now, Justin Timberlake will take a full body dunk when he opens his second eatery in our little town this April, to be called Southern Hospitality. The Memphis, Tenn., native recently signed a lease for a 3,000 square-foot space on the Upper East Side, where he plans to dish up barbeque and other comfort foods reminiscent of his childhood. With Southern Hospitality, Timberlake and his Destino’s partner, Eytan Sugarman, of the now-defunct nightclub Suede, will offer live performance and a jukebox—in case you feel like hearing “Bye Bye Bye” while you chow down on your fried chicken.
