FLIPPIN’ COOL
By Lisa LaMotta
Remember those days when class was an afterthought and your nights were spent gathered around a table trying to flip over a plastic cup once filled with beer before your opponent? Well, if you long to relive your college days, the New York City Social Sports Club has created the descriptively named New York City Flip Cup League. The league is meeting every second Saturday of the month at Boss Tweed’s Saloon on the Lower East Side and is open to all immature beer lovers. A final tournament between the top 12 teams will end the drunken year. Proceeds from the monthly tournaments will benefit different charities, which is always a worthwhile excuse to binge-drink, even if it is Bud Light.
