CRIME BLOTTER
Tough Customers

When a worker isn’t performing up to snuff, negative reinforcement is rarely the answer. But apparently, nobody told the owner of hipster hangout Monkey Town in Williamsburg this. Authorities recently reported a May 5 incident where Montgomery Knott, 38, showed his distaste for his cook’s cuisine by body-slamming him to the ground and then up against a wall before proceding to choke him. It’s unclear what specifically sparked such an impassioned incident—other than maybe a violent tummy ache—but one can assume the embattled chef would slave over the seasonings in his next dish.
Also, at a May 20 Mets-Yankees game at Shea Stadium, an enraged fan misguidedly expressed his disappointment with the performance of a female camera operator. Marc Lindsay, 36, verbally attacked the women, spewing vulgarities so beyond the traditional witty fan banter that a security supervisor was forced to escort the man out of the stadium. Upon exit, Lindsay proceeded to bite two police officers as they cuffed him. Obviously, Lindsay will almost certainly be dissatisfied with the precinct’s view of the game.
