Another Reason Why Jail Sucks

It seems a former correction officer will be spending the next 18 months in jail—on the other side of a row of bars. Allegedly, [Nicholas Defonte had sexual encounters with several female inmates at a federal lockup]. But how do you define sexual relations in this case? Well, Defonte apparently had prisoners perform “sex acts”—or, to be more explicit, acts of sex—with him while they were under his supervision at the Manhattan Correctional Center. What exactly did Defonte supervise? Kitchen duty. We’re not sure what’s worse: lewd sex acts of a forced nature, or lewd sex acts of a forced nature amongst prison grub. Ew.
