Not very funny at all. Pretty amateur and immature. Only exceptions are #22 (true but sad), #8 and #9 (funny)

Hahahaha! Oh look at all the self-important Catholics coming in to "denounce" a four-year-old article. Get over yourselves guys. And while we're speaking of "poor taste," why not address those who fawn over and worship this most evil of corporations, the Roman Church, which has been responsible for millions of deaths through the ages, torture of "nonbelievers," debasing of women, endless assaults on homosexuals, countless religious wars, all while enriching itself and living a life of brilliant opulence in one of the wealthiest enclaves in the world? Get over yourselves. The reason you're so "offended" is because the Pope is mortal, just like you, and this little satirical piece exposes the fact that the entire Catholic Church is a wicked con-job.

I'm an atheist, so while this doesn't offend me at all on a personal level it must be said that Matt Taibbi is a 'man' of limited intellect, no manners and a sense of humour most of us shed at age 10. But then again, most people around that age also suffer from a look-at-me-syndrome. Pathetic.

I agree with the comment below. I'm really tired of those who are always trying to be controversial by being the shock jock. It's ultimately self-serving and not even original.

What amazes me is how anyone can think this crap is "brilliant". "Beetles eating dead Pope's brains" ??? And it's not because I'm Catholic that I find this so offensive. I think it would be in equally poor taste to make such comment about any religious leader. But this crap isn't even funny. In fact, this is something that I would expect would have come from a 14-year old. And I'm sure those who find him so "awesome" would be completely offended if he made fun of some liberal icon. We "get it" Matt - you have freedom of speech. Whatever happened to simply having a little class.
