LOEH' BLOW

. . . . . . .
A transgender woman is suing the Loehmann’s store for allegedly denying her access to the women’s dressing room at the Seventh Avenue store. Jane Galla says employees also told her to get out of the women’s bathroom on a separate occasion. The Transgender Legal Defense and Education Fund has taken up the case and filed a complaint with the city. The fund went after the MTA as a result of a similar situation this October, after transgender woman Helena Stone was arrested three times for trying to use the women’s bathroom at Grand Central. The final verdict came down on Stone’s behalf: The MTA dropped the criminal charges against Stone and paid her $2,000 in legal fees. Let’s hope Loehmann’s discount designer pieces have been selling well because if history repeats itself, the store will be writing Galla an “oops, my bad” check for the New Year.
