Banging
on a can for 12 hours sounds like a somewhat more humane alternative to
water boarding, but it’s actually not that at all. Not even a little
bit.The Tortoise Bang on a Can Festival is 12 hours of
experimental(ish) music held every year. This year, there are
performances by smart stoner musicians Tortoise, the Danish group Ars
Nova Copenhagen and of course the Bang on a Can All Stars.
Bottom Line: Drift in, drift out, the half-day non-stop festival is a joyous free-and-easy celebration of noise.
