Fiery Furnaces

June 11, (le) poisson rouge, 158 Bleecker St. (betw. Thompson & Sullivan Sts.), 212-796-0741; 7, $20

The Fiery Furnaces may in some ways be a known quantity. The Brooklyn-based band, made up of bro-and-sis Matthew and Eleanor Friedberger, is famously and perhaps notoriously unpredictable. The band forms and reforms, rushing through and slowing down songs into a big musical batter.Tonight it’ll play old favorites (not that they’ll sound familiar) plus tracks of the new album I’m Going Away.

Bottom Line: It’s like a Dylan concert but smaller and cuter and with fewer mustaches.
