Parkett—25 Years

Opens June 25, Carolina Nitsch Contemporary Art Project Room, 524 W. 22nd St. (betw. 10th & 11th Aves.); 6, FREE

For a quarter of a century, Parkett has been putting out limited and very nice art books you likely couldn’t afford by artists you most definitely have heard of: Jenny Holzer, Andreas Gursky, Paul McCartney; nearly 200 of them. So they deserve a little nod. This survey also includes some brand new Parkett editions: Josh Smith, Maria Lassing and Beatriz Mihazes.

Bottom Line: When I was 25, I wasn’t very successful or good-looking; Parkett has stayed a pretty young thing.
