July 10, The Arm, 281 N. 7th St. (at Havemeyer St.), Brooklyn; 6, FREE
Sanders
has always been relegated to the position of a minor Beat poet, but
that’s unfair. It’s just that he’s so good at so many things that it’s
hard to categorize him. Remember The Fugs? Tonight he gets his due, in
part, with a display of over 200 gylph-poems, pictographic
juxtapositions that are as powerful as they are simple.
Bottom Line: Go tonight or anytime until July 31—and remember, the work goes best with wine.
