The best thing about playing outdoors is the fresh air. The worst is that outdoor shows are usually in the summer and tend to be in extreme heat.

What’s the best way to keep an outdoor crowd from rioting in Woodstock 2 type situations?
Well, since we’ve stopped performing our cover of Limp Bizkit’s “Break Stuff,” all of our festival appearances have gone without incident. We’ve found that there’s generally a fine line between exciting and inciting a crowd, so we now focus more on sending out positive vibes. And Milo isn’t allowed to play his seven-string guitar anymore.

You hail from New Jersey, is there something special about the Garden State that you think people should know?
New Jersey is such a beautiful and weird place. Pete and Pete was filmed in South Orange and it's a fairly accurate representation of life in suburban NJ.
It's a very musical state. Our musical heritage includes Debbie Harry, Romanthony, WFMU and, of course, the Bouncing Souls.
