Pressed for Time: The Fantastic Nobodies

By Joshua David Stein

The Fantastic Nobodies

Sept. 3, Bleecker Street Theatre, 45 Bleecker St. (betw. Lafayette St. & Bowery), 212-260- 8250; 11, $10
To raise money for the HOWL Festival, the Fantastic Nobodies, a Berlin/NY based art collective, will perform an “interactive variety show.” My favorite piece of theirs is called “Don’t Touch Me: I’m Freelance” and consists of a man’s head being lit on fire. I hope they have Freelancer’s Union Health Insurance! (Psych! That shit sucks!)

Bottom Line: The Fantastic Nobodies capture essential truths in provocative ways and raise money for the always-worthwhile HOWL.
