The
third Triennial of the ICP focuses on fashion. (Funny how even as the
reach of fashion magazines atrophies, fashion seems more culturally
relevant than ever.) Thirty-four artists from 18 countries examine
fashion from Pinar Yolocan’s Brazilian ladies wearing meat dresses to
Jacqueline Hassink’s video of sexy car-lady models interacting with
unsexy car enthusiasts.
Bottom Line: Dress up for your visit, but know you’ll be judged on how your clothing reflects gender, race and class mores.
