Jonathan Lethem Reads Chronic City

Oct. 20, Bookcourt, 163 Court St. (betw. Pacific & Dean Sts.), 718-875-3677; 7, Free

Surprisingly for one of the Brooklyn Jonathan literary stars, Lethem’s latest novel, Chronic City, has Manhattan as its epicenter. Not surprisingly Lethem chose Brooklyn as the locale for the second of his marathon readings wherein the author will read the entire book over the course of the week at bookstores all over town. It’s like Kindle but in person.

Bottom Line:You
could buy the book or you could let Lethem read it to you as if he was perched at your bedside. Again.
