Aussie Wipeout

Items were stolen from a man sitting on a bench in Battery Park. At 6 PM on Tuesday, August 6, a 28-year-old man from Woollahra, Australia put his bag on the park bench next to him while he talked on his cell phone. When he was not looking, someone made off with his bag. Items inside the bag included an Apple MacBook air valued at $1,500, $500 in cash, an Apple iPad, sunglasses, clothing, and a Firewire surfboard. The total taken amounted to more than $2,000.
