The Crane TV is an online video-magazine “focused on contemporary culture” keeping up with the fast moving arenas of “art and design, lifestyle, fashion, ideas, travel and ecology.”
More importantly, they are holding a global film competition with Discovery Campus and Reelisor.com in the following categories: Architecture, Culture, Art&Design, Lifestyle, Fashion, Ideas, Travel and Ecology. Sound familiar? The films, which must be no longer than five minutes long, can be fiction, non-fiction or animated.
They are looking for “Fresh insider perspectives” into any topic one might choose within these categories. After heavy scrutiny from a jury of creative types such as fashion dinosaur Karl Lagerfeld, designer Ora Ito, film producer Fernando Sulichin and Editor-in-Chief of DOMUS Magazine Flavio Albanese, the winners will be announced at the international launch of the magazine’s website in March 2009. Prizes will include “cash, equipment, and TV broadcast.”
