The Idiotarod returned this Saturday and remained a sea of wacky costumes, drunken hipsters and decked-out shopping carts. To compete in the Alaskan sledge-inspired race, teams of five pushed their souped-up carts through the cold. Festivities started in the shadow of the 59th Street Bridge and ended at the Public Assembly in Williamsburg. Here's Josh Bernstein's account of his competition skills last year.
