Conan Send-off with the White Stripes

In Section: PRESS Play » Posted By: Joseph Alexiou
- Sending off NBC's late night darling Conan O'Brien will be the indie rock duo The White Stripes, which hasn't performed since 2007. O'Brien, a huge fan of the group, is moving down to the prime time slot, replacing the delightful and prominently-chinned geezer Jay Leno. Replacing O'Brien will be Jimmy Fallon of Saturday Night Live.

The White Stripes—the lo fi band comprised of divorcees Jack and Meg White—got started in 1997 and are an indie success story, having sold over 12 million albums worldwide.
