A one of a kind portrait of President Barack Obama is on display in New York City. "Ripley's Believe It or Not" in Times Square unveiled the portrait made entirely of multi-colored gumballs. The six-by-six foot portrait of the President made of 12,784 gumballs in eight different colors, can be seen for free in Ripley’s street entrance.
Artist Franz Spohn designed the portrait on the computer as part of a Martin Luther King Day celebration at the King Kennedy Center in Ravenna in Ohio and it took a group of students five hours to put the portrait together.
The gumball art will join other pieces like a portrait of Abraham Lincoln made entirely out of Lincoln pennies and locks of hair from John F. Kennedy, George Washington and Abraham Lincoln in a permanent exhibit of presidential artifacts.
