We all have that annoying friend who warns us against eating raw cookie dough. “You’ll get salmonella. Don’t touch it!” he/she says before taking out a Capri Sun pouch. Well, it turns out that kid may have a point.
Yes, Nestle USA has recalled Toll House refrigerated cookie dough because many people have become sick after eating the raw dough. The FDA and CDC are suspecting that the 66 reports of illness, in which 25 people have been hospitalized, may be caused by E. Coli.
Nestle is fully cooperating with authorities while the Pillsbury Dough Boy is laughing his fat ass off.
