In a blazing show of "my daddy can beat up your daddy" level political discourse, the Senate Democrats locked themselves in the Senate chamber today ahead of Governor Patterson's special session. They seem to have pulled the stunt to block Republicans and Albany's resident crazy person/(maybe) Senate President Pedro Espada from taking control of the chamber for Patterson's session, particularly the coveted spot at the rostrum.
Patterson's forced session was slated to begin 15 minutes ago. Maybe they'll get things done, though they'll probably flick each other's ears and steal lunch money.
