New York City’s a wild ride—especially when trapped in an illegal pickup van for a seven-mile car chase. The Post reports that five French tourists got the quickie tour of Queens and Brooklyn when they were steered into an unauthorized van at JFK. Port Authority officials tried to remove the driver’s keys when he took off, the police zooming after immediately. Eventually the need-for-speed criminals jumped out of the still-moving car, which then crashed into a postal truck.
One officer actually called this “the ride from hell.” My guess? We either see a new Coney Island tourist attraction or a major motion picture rerelease in 2011 starring Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock.
