Move over Robin… The new issue of Peter David's X-Factor might feature the first ever guy on guy kiss in a superhero comic. Perez Hilton spotted the kiss between the characters Rictor and Shatterstar. For those not very familiar with the comic, Rictor resembles Dave Grohl and Shatterstar kind of looks like a red-headed Daniel Craig. The super-fans that commented on Hilton’s story were outraged over this story because they believe this is not the first gay kiss in a comic—they say there have been countless girl on girl kisses and we all remember how many gay characters Wildstorm had, right? Right?!After being criticized on his own website, David shot back, “If homosexuality has been politicized at all, it’s in relation to issues such as marriage or serving in the military, neither of which was the topic at hand.” David also assures his readers this wasn’t simply a one-time occurrence and that the characters will not dismiss this in the next issue. They'll probably go on a few dates and then start ignoring one another at the gym and local smoothie bar.
