Nothing can change the King of
Pop’s death, but for those who want to see him one more time, a public
viewing of his body will be held at the Neverland Ranch on Friday, July 3.
The 2,800-acre Santa Barbara property, bought by Jackson in 1987, was a fantasy land for children until 2005. In recent years he failed to pay insurance bills and last November the estate was partially seized by Sycamore Valley Ranch Company LLC.
Sadly, an episode of cardiac arrest that Jackson suffered led to his death on June 25. This means that his highly anticipated tour of London’s O2 Arena—the beginning of a 50-date tour—will never occur. Jackson’s plan to build a new Neverland-style ranch at England's Foxbury Manor in Chistlehurst, Kent is also no longer possible. On Sunday the family will participate in a private memorial at the ranch. [via NME]
