Joe the Plumber, aka Samuel Wurzelbacher, that superstar of the 2008 campaign, will not be running for elected office.
Thank you to Think Progress for directing us to an interview Joe gave to the conservative WorldNetDaily where he dismissed a possible career in politics. Before Joe made this decision, though, he wanted some expert advice so he turned to somebody who knows a thing or two about… well, everything.
When WorldNetDaily asked Joe about a possible run for office he replied, "I hope not. You know, I talked to God about that and he was like, 'No.'" Score one for God.
Hey Joe, did God happen to say anything else during your conversation? Any information you want to pass along to the rest of us here on Earth. You know what, Joe you’re probably really busy pretending to be a plumber or something, so will you just pass along God’s contact information. We've all got lots of questions for him.
