Last year we reported on the end of Phil Hartman's Two Boots Pioneer Theater in the East Village. Now EV Grieve reports that construction seems to be continuing at the space, a work permit has been filed, and soon enough it will be a new outpost of the popular Upright Citizens Brigade. It's a logical move for the improv comedy destination that makes a good deal of its money from NYU kids who take classes with the funny folk of UCB. The funniest part of the news are the comments about the proponderance of cargo shorts among UCB clientele, with one person writing "theyre [sic] cargo shorts make the whole ev lame."
