After
several months of tension Chris Brown has finally spoken up—officially—in a
video that is currently being broadcast on the internet. His public apology to
Rihanna and his fans is a genuine acceptance of guilt, in which he says he will
try his very best never to give in to the temptation of domestic violence again.
This statement comes after Brown’s plea deal with the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office, which sentenced him to a five-year probation, a domestic violence counseling program and 80 days of community labor. While the plea deal helped him avoid jail time, the “horrific” injuries Brown incurred on his former girlfriend resulted in two felonies and major public criticism. [via Rolling Stone]
