Child Takes Over Subway Car

Ever been wary about who was operating your subway car? You’re probably not the only one. This past Sunday Jules Cattie’s suspicions were confirmed when he saw a young boy riding in the operator’s compartment of an uptown Lexington Avenue express train.

In response to this Paul Fleuranges, NYC Transit spokesman, promises "a vigorous and thorough investigation" of the blasphemy and explains that "the rule is quite clear: train operators are not allowed to have anyone else with them. It's a hard-and-fast rule.”

It doesn’t always seem to be followed, though: earlier in July a passenger on a Long Island Rail Road car was allowed to drive a 6:45 a.m. train. Meanwhile, either could probably do a better job than the moron robots that fuck the L up each and every morning. [via Gothamist]
