Taking a cue from the fury
West Village
residents
unleashed on the smoke-hazed sidewalks outside
Jane Hotel, the fine folks of Park Slope
rolled out their own version of an unwelcome wagon for rooftop hotspot Vue
Restaurant and Lounge. It's the kind of reception typically reserved for the
new girl in town by bitchy queen bees in high school environments—especially
when said new girl is super hot and automatically popular.
Residents around the rooftop bar's 5th Street
and 4th Avenue location
atop Hotel Le Blue stopped venting about the traffic on 4th
Avenue and turned their frustration with cacophonous
noise toward their new neighbor. Residents told The Brooklyn Paper they were
willing to tolerate the white noise from passing traffic but not the music
beating through the bar's speakers 'til the wee hours of the morning.
Unfortunately for those of us who love soap operatic drama, the
trash-tastic details of this feud will not play out in the blogoshpere like its
West Village
precursor. Instead, the District 6 Community Board decided to step in with
district manager Craig Hammerman informing Le Bleu that it must make some changes and quickly if
it has any chance of getting back in the community board’s and neighborhood’s
good graces.
