Sure, the New York Times might be getting rid of 100 newsroom jobs, but that doesn't mean that there's no good news coming from the paper these days.
This morning, Variety has it that Columbia pictures has made a deal with the Times for developing "Modern Love" columns into romantic comedies. And this on top of the "Modern Love"-based HBO show in development. Isn't that great? Some of the best journalists around are going to be out on their asses, but a woman who treats her husband like a Sea World attraction will probably end up a millionaire.
