Volunteer at Tribeca Film Festival

In Section: NY comPRESSed Posted By: Staff Tuesday, March 2,2010
- The indie film world may be crumbling, but there's still a film festival somewhere for you to partake in the creativity of those who still want to strike it big with their on-screen visuals. The 2010 Tribeca Film Festival begins April 21 (with Shrek Forever After, a new 3-D version of the DreamWorks tale) and continues through May 2 and, if you're not able to afford the price of a ticket, maybe you can pull yourself away from hours of Chatroulette and trade some of your free labor for the price of admission. The Fest is looking for enthusiastic folks to assist us in all departments. And just in case you're wondering: By volunteering at the Tribeca Film Festival, you'll have the chance to meet fellow film lovers, get free giveaways from our sponsors and gain access to films for free. In addition, you will also receive an invitation to the exclusive TFF Volunteer Wrap Party.

Here's the fine print: All volunteers are required to participate in a minimum of three shifts (from 3-8 hours each), and attend two mandatory orientation sessions. They also have several internship positions available in the weeks leading up to the main event (please state on your application if you are interested in interning). You must be at least 18 to work at the Tribeca Film Festival.

Find out how to apply here.
