Giglio Feast Continues Through July 18

In Section: NY comPRESSed Posted By: Staff Thursday, July 8,2010

It’s officially called the 123rd Annual Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and Saint Paulinus of Nola, but is usually referred to as Giglio—after the 3-ton float that is the centerpiece of the experience. Sure, it clogs the streets in Williamsburg and makes lots of noise late at night, but so do you and you’ve only been in Brooklyn for like five years, so shut up.

Bottom Line: Fried dough and sorta safe carnival rides without having to venture off the L? Sold!

July 7 through 18, various locations, for information visit www.olmcfeast.com
