Hulu has been making some, well, interesting business decisions of late. First, it drops hints that the portal will soon be charging viewers to watch TV shows and movies that are currently "free." Now, they're adding content that is widely available elsewhere.

Over at NPR, Carrie Brownstein interviews Thurston Moore. It happened over email, but it's still totally awesome. Moore, who lives in Northampton, Mass. most of the time, locked it up for me with this exchange:

In the paper today, Kurt Gottschalk uncovers what's happening at this year's Performa. To kick things off, the performance art biennial had a party at MoMA on Sunday night where Fischerspooner, clad in wacky silver outfits and sneakers—and kneepads!—from sponsor Asics, played its hits, including Electroclash anthem "Emerge," to a crowd gearing up for a few weeks of off the wall performance spectacle. As the roller derby season winds down, interest in the sport has just sparked. The crowd at Saturday’s double-header game was chock full of newbies, tweens, and kids. You could just see images of Ellen Page in their young, innocent eyes. While the games weren’t nearly as violent as the ones in “Whip It,” the visiting team, Sockit Wenches, gave our gals a run for the money and went home with the prize.
