Brooklyn Janitor Gets Clean Slate

    All [charges have been dropped] against the Brooklyn janitor who was accused of repeatedly raping an 8-year-old girl in a basement bathroom at P.S. 91, where he works and she matriculates. Apparently, inconsistencies in the girl’s story and a lack of evidence led Francis Evelyn to be set free. Prior to these accusations, he had worked at the school for 20 years without incident and has no criminal record. Evelyn, who lives with his wife and daughter, had been charged with rape, a criminal sex act, sex abuse and endangering the welfare of a child.
