C Stands for Crime

by Jerry Danzig In the evening of Sunday, May 26, a 30-year-old woman from Las Vegas noticed that her wallet was missing when she went to pay for her dinner at a fancy Italian restaurant on Columbus Avenue. She had last seen her wallet before leaving home at around 7:30 that evening and taking a C train from 42nd Street to 86th Street to get to dinner. The woman contacted her banks and was told that someone had racked up charges of $3,440 on her credit and debit card accounts. She also lost a Coach wallet valued at $100, $200 in cash, a ballet-class card worth $150, and her Nevada driver's license. What happens in Vegas gets lost on the C train!
