Laugh Match: Love, Laughter, and Fun

Tuesday, November 24, 2009
-
Phone: 212 524 2500
Time: 7:30 PM
Venue: Comix
On Wednesday, November 24th, comedian Helen Hong brings Laugh Match, the groundbreaking matchmaking comedy show, back to Comix! Laugh Match combines matchmaking and laughter in a completely new and entertaining way to find love. Part comedy show, part singles mixer, Laugh Match takes the dreaded awkward moments of a first date and adds a healthy dose of humor. Laugh Match is inspired by a Korean nightclub phenomenon called "booking" where forceful waiters literally drag strangers to different tables for impromptu meet-and-greets. After having a drink together, the new "couples" can choose to go their separate ways, or stick around and see how well their waiter has paired them. Laugh Match adds a hilarious twist to the custom. After performing short routines, professional comedians do the matchmaking instead of waiters, with running commentary adding to the fun. Love connections are not guaranteed but laughs certainly are in this one-of-a-kind interactive event! Created and hosted by comedian Helen Hong from E! Entertainment and TLC, the show features a diverse mix of top national comedians. Join us for HAPPY HOUR in the lobby before showtime, and also for post-show mingling. WED, NOVEMBER 24th @ 7:30 PM Pre-show Happy Hour Party @ 6:00 PM Comix 353 W. 14th Street New York, NY 10014 Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 on the day of show plus a two item minimum in the showroom. Tickets are available for purchase at the box office, by calling 212.524.2500 or online at www.comixny.com.
