Next week, the Upper East Side will transform into a celebration of Asian art and culture for the 5th annual Asia week. From March 15th to the 23rd, dozens of art galleries, museums and auction houses will be hosting events dedicated to Asian art. The jam-packed week featuring collections from China 2000, The Chinese Porcelain Company, Indian Court paintings, Kang Collection Korean art and hundreds of other exhibits from India, China, Japan, Korea, and the Himalayas. The Museum of Natural History, Guggenheim, Chinese Museum, Japan Society and The Met will all be participating.

"For discerning, in-the-know collectors, curators, scholars and Asian art enthusiasts from all around the world, this week has become an essential destination in March," said Henry Howard-Sneyd, chairman of Asia week. All Asia week events are free and open to the public.
