    Craigslist Crook Nabbed

A 23-year-old man came in to the 19th precinct on February 27th complaining that someone whom he met on Craigslist had sold him four counterfeit concert tickets. After he became aware that the tickets were fraudulent, he used reverse phone look-up to determine that the perpetrator had given him a fake name.

On the evening of the 28th, the 19th precinct set up an undercover agent on 85th Street to try and lure the counterfeiter. The perpetrator approached the fixer and offered him four tickets to Swedish House Mafia in exchange for $725. After determining that the tickets were fake, police arrested the 17-year-old boy.

As he was being brought into the precinct, a 24-year-old man was in the precinct reporting more fraudulent tickets. The victim recognized the perpetrator as he was being brought in, so in the end, he was arrested for three counts of fraud.
