Don’t Badmouth Dirty Laundry

Evan Coyne Mahoney produced and directed a new documentary about free speech on American campuses, [Indoctrinate U].  The documentary is largely a critique of what Mahoney perceives as a malignant liberal bias in college classrooms across the country.

But wait, there's more. Recently, the [New York Post ran a piece] detailing how Mahoney, unsatisfied with his local dry cleaner, plastered his neighborhood with flyers proclaiming the laundry facility “SUCKS  and is OVERPRICED”.  Those caps are in the original fliers.  Now sued for defamation, the filmmaker says that his flyers constitute – you guessed it – free speech.  The self-proclaimed First Amendment advocate has vowed to fight the laundry-mat’s $100,000 lawsuit.  He says he will not give up warning fellow Upper East Siders about “the rude customer service, the broken promises, and the substandard, overpriced service.”
