The Institute for Urban Design launched its inaugural Urban Design Week at the BMW Guggenheim Lab on Houston Street on Thursday, Sept. 15. At the event, the winners of the Institute's "By the City/For the City" project, in which designers drafted proposals based on ideas by regular New York City citizens, were announced. An Atlas of Possibility for the Future New York, a publication based on the project, was also launched at the event.
