The U.S. Census Bureau reports today that per pupil school spending across the nation rose 5% in 2005, from $8,287 to $8,701.


No one spends more than New York. The State's per pupil spending is the highest in the nation at $14,119. The City's public schools come in slightly lower at $13,755.
