Fare Beater Busted

At 2 a.m. on the morning of Friday, April 19, a passenger exited a yellow cab on East 63rd Street without paying the $15 fare. When the cabbie, a 28-year-old man, approached the passenger to collect his fare, the passenger struck him in the face, causing substantial pain. The cabbie suffered from swelling and a small laceration in his bottom lip. The fare beater was arrested on April 19.
