FREE MAMMOGRAMS

assembly member linda rosenthal is working with the american italian cancer foundation to station a mammography van outside her district office. the van, which provides free screenings to women over 40 who have not had a mammogram in the past year, is scheduled to be at her office thursday, jan. 28, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

uninsured women will be able to partake in this service without providing documentation. insured women must bring their provider id and policy number; their insurance company will be billed, but they will not have to pay out-of-pocket.

"i am proud to offer this lifesaving service to my female constituents," rosenthal said. "a mammogram is the single most effective way to prevent breast cancer and i urge all women to undergo this test once a year."
