The Upper West Side is full of family-friendly local Halloween events this week

Kids these days get more than one night to celebrate Halloween. We've compiled a list of all the Upper West Side events for little ones - and for adults - to don costumes and up their sugar intake as they herald in the spooky holiday.

Halloween Extravaganza and Procession of the Ghouls

Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine 1047 Amsterdam Ave, at 112th St

After a screening of "The Cabinet" accompanied by an organist, costume-clad performers from the Mettawee River Theatre Company will parade through the church.

Halloween at the Museum of Natural History

The museum will be decorated in spooky décor, and there will be trick or treating, crafts, and costume-clad cartoon chracters. Live musical peromfrances, magicians, and stiltwalkers will be everywhere!

Hair Raising Hallways, Bouncy Mayhem, and Fall Festivities! Join the P.S. 166 community for a schoolyard of screams! Bring the whole family to enjoy 7 bouncy houses, the famous cake walk, a Gaga Center, tons of crafty tables - including cupcake decorating and the SUPER scary Haunted House. This year's theme is Carnival of Death (open from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.) - for kids 8 and over - enter if you dare! There are also two free activities this year, coloring tables and chess. Trick or Treating:

Mommy Poppins suggests 90th between Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues, 87th Street between Broadway and West End Avenue, 79th Street between Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues, and 95th Street between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West. Treat House (452 Amsterdam between 81st and 82nd Street) will be giving away special bite-sized Halloween themed crisped rice cereal treats from 3 ? 5pm.

Family Friendly Drop-Off Halloween Pajama Parties Project

Ages 2-6

Halloween themed parties, let the kids come celebrate in costume so parents can enjoy a night out. There are Halloween themed crafts, dessert, and games to play. Each child also receives a gift bag at the end of the night with some Halloween treats!
