Honoring FRIENDS

    Local preservation advocacy group FRIENDS of the Upper East Side Historic Districts is are being honored with a Lucy G. Moss award from the New York Landmarks Conservancy for their achievement in outstanding preservation.

    According to a press release, "The Moses Awards recognize individuals, organizations, architects, crafts people and building owners for their extraordinary contributions to preserving our City."

    Additionally, the Preservation Committee Chair and Secretary of the Board of Directors at FRIENDS Franny Eberhart is being awarded for Preservation Leadership. This is a very exciting time for the non-for profit and they are inviting any supporter who would like to join them at the ceremony.

    The award ceremony will be taking place on Monday, April 29th at 6:30 p.m. in Vanderbuilt Hall at Grand Central Terminal. Tickets cost $50. To learn more about this event and purchase tickets visit nylandmarks.org.
