HOPE SHINING NATIONAL LAUNCH

A new child safety organization, Hope Shining, is coming to New York City. The initiative seeks to increase awareness, prevention and support services for children and families affected by violence and abuse. At the launch event, scheduled for Sept. 25, Hope Shining planned to unveil findings from a new national child abuse survey, as well as a new national public awareness campaign co-sponsored by the New York Community Trust. The organization, located at 1753 Park Ave. at 122nd Street, will also host launch events in New Orleans, Houston and Los Angeles to promote national awareness about child abuse.
