Laparoscopic Larceny

A 52-year-old woman took her estranged husband's debit card and made unauthorized charges. At noon on Sunday, June 9, a 61-year-old man living in Cold Springs, NY reported that his wife had used the card to make unauthorized charges at a restaurant on Columbus Ave. and to pay for her laparoscopic surgery without his permission. The man stated that his wife had received a reimbursement check for her surgery from her health insurer in the amount of $7,986, but that she had spent the money on something else. The man was in the process of divorcing his wife.
