Lower East Side Will Host New Art Event To Kick-Off Fashion Week

By Alex Mikoulianitch The Lower East Side Business Improvement District (BID) will host their [inaugural Art and Fashion event]. The neighborhood-wide event "The Lower East Side: Art & Fashion", which celebrates the 80+ art galleries scattered throughout the area, will start on Wednesday, Sept. 5th at 6 p.m. and will last to 9 p.m.; it's a prelude to Fashion Week, which kicks off on Sept. 9th. Amidst music and live entertainment, there will also be 23 art galleries represented, including Bosi Contemporary and Foley, as well as 12 participating retailers such as Grit N Glory and Skunkfunk.
